How to use Split PDF
Separate a large document into smaller PDFs, or share only the pages someone needs. Different split modes suit chapters, individual pages and regular batches.

How to: step-by-step
- Select the PDF and confirm its page count.
- Choose the split mode: individual pages, ranges, regular groups or selected pages.
- Enter the ranges or group size required by that mode, then run the split.
- Download the results individually or as a ZIP when offered. Open every part to check its first and last page.
Tips for better results
- Use the PDF page position, not a page number printed inside the document.
- Test a short range before splitting a long report.
Common pitfalls
- A cover page can shift all chapter numbers by one.
- Downloading a ZIP does not open its PDFs; extract the archive first.
Worked example
Example: a 12-page report contains a cover followed by two sections. To keep the cover with section one, choose ranges 1-6 and 7-12. Each output should contain 6 pages; use PDF positions even if the printed numbering starts after the cover.
Before you finish
Splitting creates new files. Retain the original if you may need different ranges later.
