How to: step-by-step

  1. Select the PDF and wait for the page preview.
  2. Choose Text Field, Checkbox, Radio Button, Dropdown or Signature, then click the page to place a field.
  3. Set field names and values or options, then move and resize fields to fit the layout.
  4. Save the form, open it in a compatible reader and test each field before distributing.

Tips for better results

  • Use clear, unique field names.
  • Test dropdown choices and radio-button behaviour in the recipient reader.

Common pitfalls

  • The Signature option creates a text-style placeholder, not a certificate-signing field.
  • A required setting does not guarantee every PDF reader will enforce completion.

Before you finish

Field support varies between readers. Use Fill & Sign to place a visible drawn signature on a completed copy.
