How to: step-by-step
- Select two or more PDFs.
- Arrange the files in the required reading order. Check which document should come first.
- Run Merge PDF and wait for the combined file.
- Download it and inspect the joins between documents, page count and orientation.
Tips for better results
- Give source files numbered names before selecting a large batch.
- Keep the originals until you have checked the combined PDF.
Common pitfalls
- Merging does not automatically remove duplicate pages.
- Mixed page sizes remain mixed; use Resize PDF if you need uniform sheets.
Worked example
Example: combine a 2-page cover letter and a 5-page report. Put the cover letter first and expect 7 pages. Check pages 2 and 3 to confirm the documents meet in the intended order.
Before you finish
Check bookmarks, forms and document-level features after merging. Do not assume every feature from each source will carry over.
